When women start healing their core wounds, something amazing happens, their Inner Wisdom starts talking. It feels like you have been walking around blindfolded for your entire life and finally you are able to see and feel things in a way you never imagined possible.
When this starts to happen often they are amazed and are ready to hear even more. The questions I hear most often are:
How to I develop my Inner Wisdom?
How do I know the difference between Inner Wisdom and wanting?
How do I know I am hearing my Inner Wisdom?
Many times what they are wanting is a short cut to hearing their Inner Wisdom. My answer is there is no shortcut. I am sure there are women out there that have always been connected to their Inner Wisdom and never had to work on it. I happen to not be one of those people. I have always been intuitive but as I got older, I lost touch with my Inner Wisdom. I started listening to other’s wisdom and my Inner Wisdom got harder and harder to hear. Of course, it was always there talking and at times screaming. If your Inner Wisdom starts screaming, you better start listening, take it from one who did not. Three years ago, my life drastically changed in just a few months. My dad got sick, I was in a car accident, and then I got sick. My Inner Wisdom had been getting louder and louder in the months leading up to that and what did I do? I got busier and busier, trying not to hear it. When I was no longer able to ignore my Inner Wisdom I realized, I NEEDED my Inner Wisdom. Not listening to my Inner Wisdom was no longer serving me or my family, in fact it was harming us. I have spent the last three years of my life fine tuning my Inner Wisdom. After years of learning and practice, I have created 7 Steps that I believe can help you tap into your Inner Wisdom.
1.) Calm Your Mind
If your mind and world is full of chaos, then the soft and subtle whispers of your Inner Wisdom, can’t be heard. So commit to taking time out each day to get quiet, tune in, ask, and LISTEN. I find that my morning shower is the best time to do a check-in with my Inner Wisdom. Just this simple practice can change your life.
2). Questions Your Beliefs
Start asking, what do I believe? As questions come up, question your question. As you question your thinking and are open to releasing thoughts that no longer serve you, your mind will naturally begin to quiet — helping your Inner Wisdom to naturally start flowing.
3.) Clear Out the Mental Clutter
You can’t become super-intuitive if you’ve got mind clutter getting in the way. If you’re afraid that your friends and family will think you’re crazy or that your church will condemn you to hell, you will block your Inner Wisdom from developing. Just start the process of clearing out the mind clutter that a lifetime has created. Remember to be kind to yourself while getting back in touch with your Inner Wisdom. I have found it best to only share it with people who are open to new ways of receiving information.
4.) Listen With Love
Divine Love is always talking. Are you LISTENING? Most of us are okay with praying and asking but not always good about listening. If you don’t hear an answer right away, that is okay. Just keep listening!
5.) Never Ever Censor
I am a perfectionist by nature, so my little boss likes to come out to play when I try something new. Remember, your ego likes to keep things the same. Your Inner Wisdom is always right even if you never understand or know the why. Always thought check your motives before sharing. Intentions must be kept pure.
6.) Knowing With Integrity
As you are getting back in touch with your Inner Wisdom, you may start receiving information about other people. BE CAREFUL! This is powerful wisdom, that other people may not be ready or willing to hear. So as you get information, process and wait. If the information should be shared you will learn to recognize the signs. NEVER EVER share your Inner Wisdom as a form of gossip. That is the number one way to shut it down.
7.) Practice Makes Perfect!
If you want to really access your Inner Wisdom you need to practice accessing it all the time. You do this so that you can learn to interpret and trust the messages you get. That means if you are grocery shopping and you start getting the tingles, stop and listen, see what your Inner Wisdom is wanting you to know.
There are no shortcuts to do this. You have to do the work. You have to train your body and mind to know the difference. Just like any professional athlete they have to practice, practice, and practice some more, to become skilled at their sport. You have to do the same. Just like an athlete isn’t great overnight most of us are not great at listening to our Inner Wisdom overnight. I do believe with a heart wide open your Inner Wisdom will start talking to you.
Over the next few weeks we will be talking about how to get in touch with our Inner Wisdom, how we are blocking it, and how we can use our Inner Wisdom to help ourselves, our family, our friends, our family, and ultimately the world.
I know some of you are itching to get started and to take BIGGER and BOLDER steps into harnessing the gift of your Inner Wisdom. If this is you I have tools that can help you.
