As most of you know, it has been a crazy six months in my little corner of the world.
As with everything in my life, I try really hard to listen to my Inner Wisdom and prior to this fun little circus show in my head, I had started a series about listening to your Inner Wisdom. The last few days, my Inner Wisdom, has started pinging that it was time for me to get back to that subject in my blog. I am going to jump right back in. If you need to refresh on what we talked about before, they are all still there and you can easily find them.
MEET YOUR COUNSEL OF ADVISORS!!!
I believe if you really want to live a life where you are connected with your Inner Wisdom, you are going to have to meet your Counsel Of Advisors. What are your Counsel Of Advisors? I believe they are angels, guides, ancestors, and sometimes people we have loved. I believe some of them stay our whole lives and others are with us for only seasons of our lives. I believe we are all surrounded by a Counsel Of Advisors, ALL OF THE TIME. Our Counsel Of Advisors are there to guide us, direct us, love us, and work on our behalf of us in ways that we cannot understand.
You may have always known they were there but never fully known how to reach out to them. That is what I want to help you with today. The most important thing I can tell you to do is to set the intention of meeting them. So often, I find people want parades, bands, candles, and incense those things are nice but most of the time just setting the intention of what you need is enough. Your Counsel Of Advisors have always and will always work for your Greatest and Highest Good.
As you are meeting your Counsel it is important to make them part of your life. In the morning, before you even get out of bed imagine that you are surrounded by your Counsel. Trust in the fact that at any given moment during that day they are there to direct and guide you. This is how, I have personally put this into practice, it is how I feel loved and connected. When I am actively connecting with my Counsel my life, even when faced with trials flows smoothly, when I forget to connect, I feel disconnected from all areas of my life and life quickly spins off course.
You cannot receive, if you do not ask. Just like the TV, it doesn’t just turn on. You have to do the work of pushing the “on” button. Your Counsel is the same way. YOU MUST ASK! You can do this first thing in the morning, or when you are facing a decision and you are not sure of the best path to take.
- Close your eyes, say hello, and ASK. It is that simple.
You will be shocked and amazed at how quickly this sometimes works. Remember, they are always working for your Highest and Greatest Good, so if you aren’t seeing results, ASK! What am I suppose to be learning from this experience?
ASK FOR SIGNS
Pick a particular object that you want to receive as a way of communicating with your Counsel. It could be anything from a symbol, a color, a sound, an animal. Whatever it is, make it something, so that when you see it you know that your Counsel is trying to get your attention. The minute you see that item stop what you are doing. Get quiet and listen to what your Counsel is trying to tell you.
KEEP A COUNSEL JOURNAL
Write down any guidance, visions, dreams or Inner Wisdom you receive. Connecting with your Counsel requires you trust the guidance when you receive it. Sometimes, when things are hard we forget all the times our Counsel has had our back. I keep a little journal in my purse, for those times when miracles happen. So that in those times when I am feeling hopeless I can go back and read when miracles were happening. This gives you a record of what is so often intangible.
DREAM A LITTLE DREAM
Sleep is a wonderful way to connect with your Counsel. Before you go to bed ask your Counsel to come to you as you sleep. Ask them to deliver messages that you will need for the next day. Keep a journal next to your bed. When you wake up the next morning write down anything you remember. If you don’t remember anything that is fine just keep at it. Just keep an open heart to hear messages the rest of the day.
We all love it when someone tells us Thank You. I believe anytime we receive help from our Counsel we need to say Thank You. I believe this is as much for your benefit as it is for them. It reminds you that you are NEVER alone. I know when I actively started saying Thank You, answers, started coming a whole lot faster.
These are just a few of the ways I keep in touch with my Counsel Of Advisors. I would love to hear how you meet your Counsel. Did you always know they were there? Was there a major life event that stopped you and made you take notice? How do you honor your Counsel’s presence in your life? I love hearing your stories. If you have any questions, please email me.
YOU ARE NEVER ALONE!!!
